There are three coastal corners in Europe that, although located in different countries, share the same essence: a unique topography and an exquisitely refined lifestyle. They are Comporta, Sylt, and Cap Ferret.

We begin this journey in Comporta, the legendary rice estate by the sea — a natural jewel of 12,000 hectares that once belonged to the Espírito Santo family. A vast stretch of land just 50 km south of Lisbon, running parallel to the coastline. The coast, like much of Portugal’s Atlantic shore, is absolutely wild, with virtually no buildings near the sea. In fact, reaching its endless beaches is no simple task, as a natural barrier of soft dunes runs alongside them, making it nearly impossible to see the ocean from inland.

Little by little, visitors from all over Europe have been captivated by its beauty, its unspoiled surroundings, its tranquillity, and its love for simplicity. The humble fishermen’s homes and local houses have gradually been bought and restored, giving rise to a charming setting with impeccable taste. The surrounding villages, the golf course, and the area's deep respect for nature have done the rest.
