The artisans in the atelier are the ones who translate design into object.

The nappa comes from Entrefino lambs, the finest in the world. Animals raised under strict welfare protocols, where the skin is a consequence, not a purpose. It is tanned for us by a family-run tannery in northern Spain, with generations of craftsmanship behind it.

The Bubble texture is born here. It is achieved through vaporization: heat and humidity transforming the leather into a relief that no machine could replicate. Each section is handled by hand, one by one. No two bags are alike because no two skins are alike.

Tissa Fontaneda belongs to the slow fashion movement by conviction, not by label. We produce in Spain to sustain a European artisanal manufacturing tradition that will disappear if we stop choosing it.

A Tissa is not worn out. It lives. The passage of time is memory; use is part of the design.
